Disaster DIY Chat
On May 10, the Grade 5 students at Banbury Heights School had the opportunity to have a Skype conversation with Bryan Baeumler from the TV show Disaster DIY on HGTV. The students have just started a science unit on structures where they will have to complete a series of design challenges. Bryan was able to answer a number of questions and provide some design tips that students will be able to use during the course of this unit. Check out a portion of the chat by clicking on the video above!

Read To Succeed
The first month of our Read to Succeed Program was a huge success. As a class we read for 40,237 minutes! As a school we read for 93,987minutes!
In order to encourage even more reading this month (especially during the March break) the class that tracks the most amount of minutes in March will win a pizza party. Don't forget to read every day at home and at school and record your results. If you have lost your tracking sheet, you can download a new one at http://granderie.ca/banbury/node/156.
