This month we will be looking at compassion and what it means. Today in class we created a definition and criteria for what compassion looks like. Students asked if our work could be posted on the website so they can continue the discussion at home. Please spend some time talking with your child about compassion and how everyone can show it this month. Thanks!
Compassion: compassion is showing sympathy for someone who is in need and helping them solve their problem. Some ways that people can show compassion is by:
- Being a good friend who listens
- Helping someone who is hurt
- Forgiving
- Putting someones needs before our own
- Donating to the less fortunate
